Description: Es una capa vector (shapefile) de manglares de Colombia multiescalartomando como base informacion de diferentes proyectos realizados por diferetes entidades, entre los años 2000 a la actualidad. El proyecto SIGMA nace de la necesidad nacional de conocer, reunir, organizar e intercambiar de manera eficiente la información disponible para el manejo de los ecosistemas de manglar del país. En tal sentido, el SIGMA ha sido concebido como un repositorio de información y una herramienta que genera reportes atendiendo a cuatro líneas de acción o módulos de información: El módulo de Estado, que soporta los datos suministrados por el Protocolo Nacional de Monitoreo; el módulo de Presiones o vigía de los manglares; el Módulo de Gestión que visualiza las acciones desarrolladas por las autoridades ambientales en el marco del Programa para el Uso Sostenible, Manejo y Conservación de los Ecosistemas de Manglar en Colombia; y el Módulo de Bienes y Servicios. Un Geovisor Nacional de Manglares, un Gestor Documental y otros componentes transversales, han sido incorporados para facilitar diagnósticos integrados de este ecosistema estratégico.
